Mission
To provide Indian industry with a domestic partner able to carry a product from concept through to proven tooling, reducing lead times, import dependence and programme cost.
An engineering office that took its designs into production — and a manufacturing establishment that has never stopped reasoning like one.
SAN 3D Technologies was constituted in 2005 to serve the design and engineering requirements of Indian industry, provisioned from the outset with the platforms the discipline demands — Unigraphics, Pro-E, DelCAM, PowerSHAPE and AutoCAD.
The commissions of that first decade set the standard the organisation still works to: the complete reverse engineering of the Skyline and Cruiser bus bodies for Eicher Motors, and mould and design engineering for Sandhar Group at Gurgaon and Godrej Aerospace at Mumbai, extending to components developed for cryogenic engine programmes.
A design that cannot be manufactured, however, resolves only half the problem. Production capability was recognised as inseparable from design authority — and the organisation set about building it.
SAN 3D Technologies is established at Indore as a dedicated design office, operating Unigraphics NX, Pro-E, DelCAM, PowerSHAPE and AutoCAD, with a concurrent mandate for training and skill development.
Reverse engineering of complete bus bodies for Eicher Motors, together with mould and design engineering for Sandhar Group and Godrej Aerospace, extending to components for cryogenic engine programmes.
Die and mould manufacture begins from leased premises on a modest complement of machines, supported by established partners including IGTR and Artech Engineering.
Rising demand makes independent toolmaking capability essential. SAN 3D Technologies establishes a dedicated toolmaking division, initially at leased premises.
Design and production are brought together within a company-owned facility at Sanwer Road, Indore. The BFW Chakra vertical machining centre is commissioned the same year.
Commissioning of a Four Star double-column machining centre with a 4200 × 2100 × 1100 mm envelope, admitting work of a scale previously unavailable within the state.
Eighteen specialists delivering design, prototyping, tooling and precision machining to the automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical and heavy engineering sectors.
To provide Indian industry with a domestic partner able to carry a product from concept through to proven tooling, reducing lead times, import dependence and programme cost.
To advance as a technically rigorous organisation founded on exacting business standards, and to stand as the reference manufacturer of precision tooling in central India.
Quality, Cost and Delivery govern the organisation's conduct. Every estimate, process plan and production decision is measured against those three criteria.
A selection of commissions that establish the breadth of the organisation's competence — from complete vehicle architecture to the domestic substitution of imported pharmaceutical tooling.
Body panels, FRP tooling, sheet metal dies, fixtures and gauges for vehicle manufacturers and tier-one suppliers.
Precision tooling and component development, including work for cryogenic engine programmes.
FFS and BFS moulds and change parts — developed in India, replacing imported tooling.
Machine building, machining of large fabrications, jigs and fixtures, and engineering consultancy.
Prospective clients are welcome at Sanwer Road. A visit is the most direct way to judge whether the design office and production floor meet the standard your programme requires.
